Crystal McNutt’s parents purchased a pony for her when she was 3 years old, and she immediately began to demonstrate the innate horsemanship that would take her to the top. “I rode it bareback and was doing all kinds of things, and my parents thought it would be a good idea for me to take lessons,” she says
She began training and took her first stock seat medal at 5 years old. She earned a mention in Sports Illustrated in 1986. Because at 9 years old, she was the youngest person to win a national championship Top 10 in Western Pleasure JOTR 17 and Under at U.S. Nationals.
